Simon James is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. Originally from Chicago, Simon grew up surrounded by music. From a young age he studied piano, picked up guitar and drums, and later began writing and recording original songs. In 2021, he successfully directed a social media campaign leading up to the release of his self-produced and independently distributed project, “Childish”.

 

Simon currently studies at the Clive Davis Institute of recorded music, utilizing the network and resources provided to him to build a foundation for his career. His new single, “Passenger Side”, co-produced by GRAMMY winning producer, composer, and bassist for the Fugees, Jerry Wonda, was released in December of 2022 through NYU’s Village Records with much more to follow in 2023.
